CONTINUOUS COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION

♦ Education is and will never be limited to books and information. Endorsing the thought to its core, CCE plans to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes that excite, stimulate and motivate young learners into doubting, questioning and investigating the information provided. The next obvious step is to evaluate and analyze their learning experiences which offer several cues to think independently and shape their conclusions most rationally.

♦ This is essentially how CCE suggests, building block by block the firm foundation on which the edifice of higher knowledge and greater learning may be erected as children undertake their own cheerful journey into formal education. The scheme is fundamentally a curricular initiative, attempting to shift emphasis from testing to holistic learning. It aims at creating good citizens possessing sound health, appropriate skills and desirable qualities, besides academic excellence. It is hoped that CCE will equip the learners to meet the challenges of life with confidence and success.

♦ Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation evolving four consecutive formative assessments and two summative assessments are done to ensure that every child fulfills the criterion for further promotion to next level till class X.

♦ The evaluation of our students is based on Multiple Intelligence. Periodical tests and exams are conducted. CCE {Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation}, the requirement of CBSE is widely practiced. Students are assessed and evaluated in Scholastic and co- scholastic areas.

Each academic year has been divided into two terms:
♦ Term I – April to September – FA1, FA2, SA1
♦ Term II – October to March – FA3, FA4, SA2
♦ Students have to undergo various School based assessments in Co-Scholastic Areas in Classes IX and X and in Senior Secondary Programme also.
